KEY

A: A line runs along the wall to evoke the sense of a timeline, challenging audiences to evaluate change over time and how historical legal decisions continue to impact us in the present. The same sense can be evoked by listing dates next to each portrait/text grouping.

B: Portraits selected from the Law School Library.

C: Subjects’ names, to act as subheadings. (They can supplement an overarching exhibit title featured centrally to the display.)

D: The four central panels, aligning with the website panels above. Those physically on display will feature abbreviated texts in addition to supplementary images, maps, etc.

E: Suggested readings and overarching question for audiences to consider, which connects portrait/sign grouping themes to present day.
